Grant No. 5714, dated June 15, 1814, to William Cocke, ass'ee of these 30
acres. Entry, No. 2481 dated Feb 5 1813. Surveyed June 24 1813. Forward 2246
continued-----Part of Certificate, 1260, Oct 2, 1812 . In 3rd Dist., waters
of Main Caney Fork on a bench of a mountain. Beginning at a white oak west
of a small survey whereon Cocke now lives; thence, 97 poles to 2 red oaks;
thence N. 491\2 poles to 2 chestnut oaks and hickory; thence E. 97 poles to
2 dogwoods and hickory; thence S. to beginning."
