    During 1942 &43 as President of St. Matthias Parish Council of Catholic Women, she represented her Parish as a Delegate to the State Convention.

    On June 23, 1943 she received a certificate of appreciation as an Outstanding Member of the United States Citizens Service Corps for her work in the USO and Travelers Aid.

    On May 27,1950 she completed the two year Normal Course in Christian Doctrine. She was awarded a Diploma as a Certified Religion Teacher for the Arch Diocese of N.O. The diplomas were presented by ArchBishop Joseph Francis Rummel.

    She was only 4 feet, 11 inches tall but she was a dinamo of energy and a real pepper. She was good and kind hearted to all.
    She loved her daily prayers and the Catholic Church. She loved her home and was always cleaning it or polishing something. She also like to spend a lot of time in the yard working on her flower beds and flowers. She had her home looking like a show home at one time.

    She like to entertain, dinners and Bridge Parties. This was a result of her loving to cook and clean her house.

    She is the only person I know of that was adicted to Coca-Cola. From the time she was a teenager till she died she would drink 4 to 8 12oz cokes per day and some times more.
