Milan Standard Obituary: Winnie Richardson, 91, of Milan, passed away Thursday evening (July 2, 1987) at Leewood Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient the past eight months. The daughter of John and Nancy (Parker) Montgomery, she was born November 21, 1895 in Milan. In 1911 she married Eil Richardson and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1969. Also preceding her were three sons: John Richardson, Benjamin Richardson and Roy "Buck" Richardson; four grandchildren: Curt Richardson, Donna Rae Richardson, Deanna Kay White and Rick McAlister; six brothers and four sisters. Her survivors include: two sons, Ray Richardson and Jim Richardson, both of Milan; five daughters, Emaline Kain, Evelyn Williams, Gerry Sayre and Peggy White, all of Milan and Kathryn McAlister of Kirksville; 23 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. At a young age Winnie moved with her family to the State of Oklahoma in a covered wagon and later returned to Milan in a covered wagon. She had been employed by the Stanley Hotel for many years. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday (July 6, 1987) at Schoene-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Worstell, pastor of Milan Christian Church officiating. Music was provided by Mary Susan Scott, organist and Janet Hurtgen, soloist. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery. Casket bearers were, Ralph Richardson, Leroy Frazier, Jim Sayre, Curt Richardson, Rick Richardson and Larry Magee.
