They sent her to Touro Hospital in an Ambulance. She was consious, eating a little and talking.
Some time on Thursday, March 18, in the morning, she had another stroke which paralized her left side. After the second stroke she was unconsious and did not respond any more. She developed a blockage in the vaines of the lower left leg, pneumonia and went into congestive heart failure and died.
Alice also told us Hattie wanted to be cremated so they followed her wishes and had her ashes spread over Lake Pontchartrain.
